The Awards are held to recognise and celebrate business excellence and to publicise to the wider community the strength and diversity of business in the Singleton area.
It is open to any business operating in the Singleton LGA that has been in operation for a minimum of two years at time of entry.
The theme this year is “Celebrating our Stars” – a real Hollywood feel – and appropriatetly TV personality Richard Reid (aka the Gossip Guru from Channel 9’s TODAY show and all-round international style expert as seen on Domestic Blitz and Celebrity Apprentice) is host.
The awards are organised by the Singleton Business Chamber and there are many benefits for businesses who enter.
“It gives great exposure to the business and garners recognition in their industry,” Chamber president Ruth Rogers said.
“Businesses get local press and media coverage.
“It provides an opportunity to progress through to state and even national awards and winners receive a logo and advertising material to use for the next 12 months, which helps in terms of marketing.”

Incentives to enter the awards include:

- Raise the profile of your business and showcase your business to a state-wide, country-wide and global audience
- Build a reputation for excellence inside and outside of your industry
- Benchmark your business year on year and against other businesses in your local area and industry
- Improve employee engagement by involving your employees in the entry process
- Boost staff morale through the recounting of successes and wins in your business
“Within our busy working and business lives, we do not get a chance to get together, so the Singleton Business Awards are also a great way to bring businesses within the community, large or small, together to network and build great relationships within our business community,” Mrs Rogers said.
The awards are structured under the NSW Business Chamber model so that the winners of most of the categories go through to Regional Awards then to state if they make it.
“The awards are not only good locally, but regionally and state, and of course great recognition for your business,” Mrs Rogers said.
“Richard Reid, as host, is a great cheer-leader with a natural enthusiasm. He excels at on-stage interviewing and audience interaction so I’m sure it’s going to be a great night.”
The awards start at 6pm.
