Next month the Singleton Scout Group will celebrate a historic milestone. Equipped with activities for the kids, a birthday cake and a sausage sizzle to enjoy, the group is looking forward to celebrating their anniversary.

All past and current youth members, leaders, committee members, parents and supporters are encouraged to attend.
The group is also searching for the Scout Groups oldest member after patron and oldest Scout, Harrold (Doug) Hobden sadly passed away in December.
Three events will be held in celebration of the Scouts success. The first event will be held at the Scout Hall from noon on June 17. Here, members will be able to enjoy the cutting of the cake, plenty of youth activities and have a look at the scout memorabilia display.
Later in the day there will be an adult’s only event at Club Singleton.
A scouts dinner will begin at 6pm on Saturday, and costs $25 per person not including drinks. Scout members are encouraged to wear their uniforms to the dinner, while guests can dress semi-formal.
On the actual date of the Scouts centenary, Tuesday June 20, there will be a sunrise breakfast at Heuston Lookout. The event will begin at 6.45am and breakfast will cost $4. Tickets for this event must be pre-purchased.
