Final scores were Singleton 13.12.90 to Newcastle City 6.7.43.
The victory saw the Roosters move to the top of the Hunter Haval Black Diamond Plate ladder.
They led by just five at half-time as City went at them very hard in the first period.
Singleton’s renowned defence restricted City to just two goals in the second stanza while they kicked eight goals in the last two quarters in a convincing performance that leaves them undefeated after six rounds.
Alex Mitchell, Jarryd Ingram, Brandon Quinn and Michael Phillips all landed two majors in an even goalkicking performance from the Black Diamond Plate leaders.
The Roosters’ prime movers Cam White, Granland Medallist Mitchell and the outstanding Andrew Scott led the way, especially in the second half as Singleton put the foot down and ran away from City.
Other leading lights for the Roosters were Nicholas Roberts, Daine Cowburn and Andrew Macpherson as this talented, skilful and disciplined side despatched Newcastle City with class and superior fitness.
