Initially the NBN is available to around 6,800 homes and businesses in Singleton Heights, Wattle Ponds, Hunterview, Redbournberry, Glenridding, McDougalls Hill and Darlington.
Telstra Area General Manager Tricia Wilson said the general feedback from Telstra customers on the NBN, is that they are experiencing much faster speeds..
“The arrival of superfast broadband is great news for the Singleton community and helps keep locals at the forefront of technology in Australia,” Ms Wilson said. “It’s important for customers to know the transition isn’t automatic, and they have to sign up to an NBN plan, even if they want to just retain a home phone.” Singleton will be serviced by a mix of NBN technologies including Fixed Wireless (FW) and Fibre to the Node (FTTN)
