Early morning rain saw the size of the field reduced however there was still some sound scoring.
Paul Burke continued his winning form by adding a score of 70 to his first round 65 to win the cup. His 135 total bettered Mark Newman and Allan Piggot by 4 strokes.
Mark’s fine nett score of 68 was enough to win A grade by one stroke from Dave Garland.
Cup runner up Allan Piggot took out B grade with the day’s best score of 64. His winning margin was huge. Steve Corrigan came in second place a full 6 shots behind.
Mal Newman was another player to continue a comeback. Mal shot a 68 to win C grade while Colin Barnett shot 71 for runner up honours.
The weekly secret 9 competition went to Ben Stokes with 33. The next three placings were Tony Rock, Al Piggot, and Luke Wilkinson.
This Saturday’s event is a Stableford and will sure to be a great break for the local players after 3 Saturday Stroke rounds on the trot!
