Submissions from the community in regard to the extension of the drive thru trading hours are invited and close on June 13.
The restaurant is already operating 24/7 after a separate DA was approved in March.
Council has also requested McDonalds undertake its own community consultation in regard to the changes.
Director Planning and Infrastructure, Mark Ihlein says Council is in receipt of an application from McDonald’s to operate the drive-thru on a 24-hour basis. It follows the development approval for the 24-hour operation of the restaurant which was granted under delegated authority in March 2017.
“Previously notified residents will receive a letter about the proposal. Council has also requested that the applicant undertake its own community consultation in regard to the application,” he explains.
“A rigorous assessment of the proposal will be undertaken, considering impacts such as noise and other issues that may be raised in the submissions received by Council before a determination is made either under delegated authority or by the elected Council.”
“The development application is on public exhibition from Monday 29 May 2017 to Tuesday 13 June 2017 and submissions are invited by writing to the General Manager via post or email to ssc@singleton.nsw.gov.au making reference to DA1/2012.”
