The 35th annual Coal & Allied Art Price certainly brought the Civic Centre to life on Friday, July 21, with a glorious 661 artworks on display and ready for purchase.

This year’s standard was incredibly high according to judge, Lesley O’Shea who congratulated each and every artist for their marvellous creations.
“I had the great pleasure of judging the artwork this year,” she said.
“There were so many worthy works of arts and it was incredibly tough to judge.”
But of course, there were some paintings that proved particularly popular including overall winner, Kasey Sealy’s piece ‘At the Local, Berowra’.
The acquisitive prize went to Noeline Miller for her work called ‘A hive of Industry’.
But the Singleton Collection got more than just one piece of art work this year thanks to judge, Lesley and her partner who generously donated two of their beautiful paintings.
The night showcased the amount of brilliant talent we have, not only here in Singleton but from afar too. From pencil sketches to oil paintings and everything in between, the paintings astounded, amazed and delighted guests.
And, it wasn’t long before many of the pieces were snapped up by some very keen buyers.
