She established her own business teaching Zumba classes in 2015 and it has grown to the point where she now teaches nine Zumba and Strong classes per week in various Singleton locations with over 100 participants.
“When I first began instructing classes I wanted to create an atmosphere where women felt like they belonged,” she said.
“That it did not matter about their size, age, background or abilities. They could come to my classes and feel like they were accepted, supported and worthy.
“I have worked hard on creating a group who lift each other up and encourage each other. Zumba has become so much more than exercise to so many of my participants. My classes have led to further advice and motivation from me in good health and fitness and the importance of these women making time and looking after themselves despite family and work commitments.”
Kellee began competing in bodybuilding competitions in 2015 as a fitness model and she has been determined to show her Zumba crew that it is never too late to achieve you dreams, and no goal is too big.
This year she was chosen in a team to compete internationally in the WFF Pan American Cup in October with the destination being Mexico.
“My Zumba girls felt that this was their opportunity to show me how grateful they are for all of the time and support I have put into each of their health and fitness journeys and wanted to organise a “Girls Night Out” fundraiser to help me get to Mexico,” she said.
The fundraiser was held on Saturday July 29 at Mama’s Kitchen. Approximately 60 women attended and there were many local businesses who so willingly contributed to the fundraiser with their time and donations who we would like to thank: .
