Last Saturday’s event at the Singleton Golf Club was a Single Stroke and the warming weather has seen the greens improve as well as the scoring.

Andrew Bonarius took out A grade with a solid nett score of 66 while former club champion Wayne Rutter took the runner’s up prize with 68.
There was a very tight finish to the B grade event. Paul Burke and Jimmy Carey both shot 66’s with Paul being given the nod after a count back was applied.
Craig Cooke once again took out C grade, this time with the day’s lowest score. His splendid 65 gave him a three stroke victory from second placed Garry Croker.
The weekly Secret 9 competition was also won by Craig with 32 on a count back. The next three finishers were Ian Brown, Dave Palmer, and Allan Piggot.
Congratulations to Dave Stuart on his first competition Hole in One on the previous Saturday. Dave’s perfect stroke was on the Terry Thompson/Steve Moore sponsored 2nd hole and won him 35 golf balls.

This Saturday’s tournament is an individual Stableford and the first round of the annual Captain’s Trophy. A large field is anticipated.
