The HVG Unbreakables were awarded the team sportsmanship award as they moved up a division at the start of the season and were challenged against teams with greater experience, however, this didn’t dampen their smiles and their sportsmanship was commendable.

And, the RBL Storm Strikers were deserved winners of the team encouragement award. This team was put together at the start of the season and the girls have gelled well together and should be proud of their achievements.

Calista Griffiths took home the  individual sportsmanship award.  She is a member of Hydras and always plays the game in good spirits. Her sportsmanship has been noticed by many.

Umpiring Awards:

  • Junior Umpire of the Year – Caitlin Yallop. This award celebrates Caitlin’s dedication to umpiring and achieving her National C Badge;
  • Senior Umpire of the Year – Tracey Noble. This year Tracey attained her National B Badge after showing a lot of commitment to being coached in umpiring by travelling to Maitland association. Tracey is always available to umpire and assists with mentoring our up-and-coming umpires;
  •  Umpire Encouragement Award – Phil Baldwin. Phil got involved with umpiring as his daughter plays. He is a great asset to our association and we hope to see him achieve his National C Badge soon.

Coaching Awards:

  • Junior Coach of the Year – Johanna Muller, has shown great interest in coaching this season and coached team Zappers;
  • Senior Coach of the Year – Jess Maher, has coached with our association for many years and this year was the Assistant Coach of the 12’s rep team. Jess develops a great rapport with her team and this shows in their skill level on court;
  • Coaching Encouragement Awards – Kristy Windon & Katie Gibb, both coach local teams and have shown great commitment to coaching this season.

The SNA wishes to give a big thank you to all of the volunteers who have given time this season - your efforts are greatly appreciated.

We will now break until October when we hope to return to the courts with a Summer twilight competition, pending the availability of the courts due to resurfacing.

We will be running a  NetSetGo program for 5-10 year old boys and girls (location to be confirmed).
