And, a large crowd of 140 guests celebrated the end of season 2017 in fine style as players, sponsors and supporters joined together to acknowledge a number of outstanding individual and team performances.
There were plenty of highlights on the night: Warren Gillespie’s announcement as club person of the year (the first person to win this coveted award 4 times), the Strikers successful inclusion of the U15’s and U12’s in the NNSWF Premier Competitions structure, grand final appearances for the All Age ‘A’ grade and Over 35 ‘G’ grade squads, and the announcement of the popular Luke Geipel as ‘Grafter’ of the year.
But the largest cheer on the night was reserved for the Strikers newest star Joseph Civello who cleaned up with best new talent, players player, best & fairest, and the coveted club player of the year awards.
