All the action kicks off at 1.40pm when the Bulls taking on the Australian Universities Combined 7’s side.
Director of Rugby, Anthony Partridge, says there should be some great matches played considering the calibre of the teams taking part.
“The Hawthorn Academy side is a development squad full of up-and-coming young players and is coached by ex-NSW Waratah Stu Pinkerton, while accomplished coach,Todd Louden, is the man in charge of the West Harbour Pirates,” he explains.
“The bistro and bar will be open from 1.30pm and the grand-final is scheduled for 5pm followed by the presentation.”
He says it has been a positive start to the Bulls 2018 campaign with good numbers turning up at pre-season training.
“We actually had some early season selection dilemmas,” Partridge says.
Bursting with enthusiasm about what lies ahead for his beloved Bulls, he is gearing up for a big season now Merrick is back at the helm and they have some promising young players in the fold.
