The initiative, run by the national not-for-profit organisation Share the Dignity, which has been providing homeless and at risk women with sanitary products since early 2015.
Singleton Commonwealth Bank, branch manager Kanchan Ranadive said “We are thrilled to be supporting Share the Dignity. The organisation provides an opportunity to make life better for a woman or girl experiencing homelessness or poverty in our local community this Christmas.”
The Singleton branch are hoping to collect 30 bags during the campaign. If you would like to donate, its simple. First of all choose a handbag in good condition that you no longer use. Then simply fill it with items that would make a woman feel special, and pop in a thoughtful note or Christmas card and show her someone cares.
Next time your are at the shops, collect a few extra items, then fill your handbag with goodies, and drop it down to the Singleton branch.
