The New South Wales winner was the only division one recipient across Australia in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 3715 on November 22 – and takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.
While their entry was registered to a Players Club Card, NSW Lotteries officials have not been able to contact them and must wait for the ticketholder to check their entry.
The winning entry was purchased at Branxton Newsagency, 43 Maitland Street.
The winning ticketholder is urged to contact NSW Lotteries as soon as possible on 131 868 to begin the prize claim process.
Branxton Newsagency staff member Jane Tickle said she was “over the moon” that one of the outlet’s customers had won $1 million.
“Word is spreading and everyone’s talking about it,” she laughed.
“If they come in and check their ticket I’m going to faint.
“It’s so exciting!
“It’s really huge news.”
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart said there were a million reasons why Hunter residents and visitors should immediately check their Lotto tickets.
“Imagine winning a neat $1 million,” he said.
“It’s the type of news you would want to hear straight away.
“We’re keen to unite the latest Hunter winner with their prize so we are urging anyone who bought an entry in last night’s draw to check their ticket – either online at thelott.com, with the Lott mobile app or at a retail outlet.”
NSW Lotteries reminds players of the importance of keeping their contact details up to date on their Players Club card so all of their prizes are secure and they can be contacted directly with the good news of a big win.
The winning numbers in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 3715 were 24, 27, 10, 11, 36 and 20, while the supplementary numbers were 9 and 41.
Last financial year, there were 82 division one winning Monday and Wednesday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $80 million.
The Lotto’s division one winning tally has now reached 374 so far this calendar year, including 115 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
