Lindy and Gregg Harris, who own the business, are family friends of Mark and have supported him through his personal journey with brain cancer.
In recent years, the team at One Agency has raised money for the Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) through selling beanies out of the office during Winter.
Last year Lindy decided to take this further through hosting a barbecue at a local primary school.
Inviting the community to come along, have a snag and meet and speak to the legend and survivor himself.
This year they changed up the location and chose to put on a breakfast barbecue at Bailey Union Park from 7am onward.
With over 500 beanie sales and the proceeds from the sausage sizzle, One Agency met their goal and has made a generous donation to the MHF.
“If we don’t have local business’s such as One Agency get behind the foundation we don’t raise the money, it’s a team effort,” says Mark.
“I’ve spoken to local families that have been directly affected by brain cancer and their the reason why were here and why were trying to find answers because unfortunately brain cancer rips apart families.”
“We are so grateful that the people of Singleton can get behind it.”
In a touching exchange, some local families who have been affected by brain cancer shared their personal experiences with Mark and others to spread awareness.
