Emergency services arrived to find that the mine site's emergency response team had the fire extinguished and were cooling down the locomotive's engine. Fire & Rescue firefighters assisted in this task by using their thermal imaging camera to check the temperature of the engine for to ensure effective cooling was being achieved.
Once the temperature of the engine was at an acceptable level, the incident was left with the on-site emergency response team.
Fire & Rescue have also completed another popular Lolly Run - thanks to all involved.
