Several athletes from local schools made it too the next stage, the regional competition after reaching the very competitive qualifying times.
King Street Public School senior girls took out the 200m freestyle relay and achieved the qualification time to be accepted at the regional carnival.
King Street’s senior swimmers Oliver Berry and Tegan Moore had success individually. Oliver will compete in the 200m individual medley while Tegan qualified for the 50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle.
Mount Pleasant Public senior girls relay team won the PP5 (small schools) 200m freestyle and also move on to the regional stage.
