Singleton Shire Landcare celebration meeting

Singleton Shire Landcare Network Inc. is holding its annual celebration and general meeting on Saturday October 15 and are encouraging anyone who is interested in Landcare to RSVP for the event.

The meeting is a chance to celebrate and recognise the admirable work done by Landcare groups throughout the area and answer any questions that people interested in joining may have.

The celebration is set to be held at the Singleton Infantry Museum Café and will include a number of guest speakers.

There will also be a special musical performance played over lunch and an optional museum tour.

Landcare is a grass roots movement that harnesses individuals and groups under the ethic of caring for the land.

It had its genesis in initiatives to improve agricultural productivity through sustainable land management.

Landcare is a group for people of all ages and skills who care about the environment and always encourage new members.

All those interested in the event can RSVP until Friday October 7.
