There is a grass fire covering around two hectares of land near Bowmans Creek. Two units from the RFS are attending to the fire, with another three units on their way. There are no properties under threat at this time, however an aircraft has been contacted as the fire may spread.
RFS are also attending to a separate grass fire of around six hectares at Ravensworth mine site.
Both fires are under control and may have been started by lightning strikes.
Early today, RFS extinguished a grass fire of around one hectare at Dartbrook mine site, which was caused by a strike.
