Chris Harris continued his successful return to golf with a win in A grade. His sore of 36 points was not an exceptional one, however was good enough and should see his handicap fall into single figures.
Mick Williams fired 35 points to take away the runner’s up prize.
Better scoring was seen from the B grade contingent. Dave Porteus ran away with first place for his 39 points while the second placing went to Col Curnow for his 37 points.
It was a battle royal in C grade between two up and coming juniors. 40 points from the blades of Taj Vesper took first place. This was the day’s best round and beat home Owen Evans by one point.
The weekly Secret 9 competition was won by Paul Neuss with 22 points. The next three finishers were Taj Vesper (20), Jimmy Coward (19), and Margaret Burke (19 c/b).
This Saturday’s tournament is an individual Stableford and the second and final round of the Captain’s Trophy. Get your entry in now as a large field is anticipated.

This is Australia’s largest Pro-am event with the winning team advancing to the regional final at the Vintage Golf Club.
