The large black and white bullock will be on display for a good cause.
The glorious beast has kindly been offered to the local Cancer Council in order to raise funds through a weight guessing competition.
The aptly named ‘Sir Loin’ Weight Guessing Competition will be at the show this weekend, with tickets costing $2 each or $5 for three. Money raised will go towards supporting Singleton’s local Cancer Council.
Community Relations Coordinator for Cancer Council NSW Singleton Office, Clint Ekert said they are very excited for the fund raising opportunity.
“We are so excited about this opportunity that’s been provided to help raise funds for our local programs and services for cancer patients, like Transport to Treatment, Home Help, Financial Assistance and more,” Mr Ekert said.
The winner will be notified by phone on Monday, September 25. The closest guess will win a $100 Butchers Voucher, and second place will win a $50 Butchers Voucher, with thanks to Roberts Meats, Trunks Butchery & Thomas Meats.
Singleton Cancer Council office is located at 69 John Street. For information on programs and services we offer please call 6572 5400.
