There were no tears as they experienced their first taste of primary school under the watchful eye of accomplished kindergarten teacher, Gai Scholes.
She will be running two sessions a day, every Friday for nine weeks to prepare the youngsters for what lies ahead for them in 2018.
Becoming familiar with a larger playground, learning the routines, and partaking in classroom activities are all a part of the successful transition program.
Ms Scholes says it’s about giving them a “heads up” and is targeted at children who don’t have much preschool experience or don’t deal with change well.
However, it is open to any child that is enrolled to attend Kindergarten at the school as it also helps to build friendships.
