Sharing peak week with a group of like-minded athletes, and world-class coaches, in the idyllic resort town of Puerto Vallarta made Emma Blenman feel “unstoppable”. So when the champion figure athlete took to the stage at the 2017 World Fitness Federation (WFF) International PanAmerican Cup, she was determined to get her hands on one of the elaborate trophies. And, she did just that after a day of intense competition where 125 competitors were culled to just four on Sunday, October 1 in Guanajuato, Mexico. She placed second in the athletic figure division for women weighing in at 55-60kg. Blenman says her Mexican adventure was “huge”. “We drew so much energy and inspiration from each other. By the time we hit the stage, we all felt unstoppable. The competition stage and lighting was world class as were the trophies – sensational statues of female Aztec warriors - and I wanted to get my hands on one,” she says. “Being called out in second place is a beautiful memory, and proof that no matter what life throws at you, no matter how challenging things get, you can still achieve if you prioritise your goals.”  Blenman says being able to adapt and overcome obstacles is what proves your mindset is that of a champion.
