This is a rare opportunity to take part in one of the world’s most important Youth Football tournaments that sees more than 800 teams from 60 countries compete – including the likes of Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Juventus, and Liverpool FC.

And, his family and friends are determined to raise enough money to ensure he gets there.

So a trivia night is the next event planned in what has become known as Tye’s fundraising quest.

This comes on the back of family fun day at the Imperial Hotel where the new owner made a generous donation.

The trivia night is scheduled for Saturday, November 4 and will be held at the Singleton Diggers, starting at 6.30pm.

On the night master of ceremonies, Tim Tattis, will be auctioning a brand new Newcastle Jets jersey signed by the current side.

Tye’s mum, Kylie Walker, says while they have already sourced some great prizes, further donations would be greatly appreciated.

“Diggers have generously wavered the room hire fee and are also donating some vouchers, wine and other prizes,” she says.

“You can book a table for $80 or just purchase individual tickets for $10 and we will put you on a table. We will also be running Kid’s Bingo for primary school aged children.”

As Tye’s training schedule has ramped up again, so they head to Newcastle three-days- a-week straight after school.

She says the talented centre-back likes to arrive at training early so he can complete his pre-warm up ritual.

Progressing from the U9’s Emerging Jets to the U10’s means he has a new coach, who is demanding they “step it up a level” in preparation for the 2018 season.
