Once again the annual Commandant versus Mayor fixture saw a happy Sue Moore take the trophy back to Singleton Council offices.

The match was played in good spirits on Friday with each team getting assistance from current members of the Singleton District Cricket Association (SDCA).

The rules are also tweaked with the most vital modification being you can’t get out for a duck, explains SDCA’s Helene Goadsby who scored the game.

Each team faced 22 overs and players must bowl two overs each.

The Mayor's XI ended up scoring 165 runs for the win and Dean Ward was awarded the outstanding player trophy.
