From a pass-the-ball and putt putt competition outside in the sunshine to the cooler indoor activities, like lunch and a disco, the fun-filled atmosphere was the perfect environment in which to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of their clients.
Around 60 people packed the venue including guests from another disability service provider –Challenge.
Witmore’s Melissa Crowe says the day is of course about celebrating and breaking down barriers.
She would like to thank the Lions Club for manning the barbecue in the warm conditions and their sponsors for contributing to the important celebration – Cox Bakery, Singleton Heights Bakery, Singleton Highway Butchery, Meyn Street Meats, and Trunks Gourmets Meats.
This year’s theme is: Transformation towards sustainable and resilient society for all.
And, the overarching principle is to ‘leave no one behind’ and empowers people with disability to be active contributors of society.
