Acting College Principal Kristen Southwell says we are proud of the cohort’s high results in a range of subjects.
“We are very proud of our 2017 Year 12 students. They achieved high results in a range of subjects. It is very pleasing to see that our students used their HSC preparation time efficiently and effectively, as nearly all students achieved an increased HSC mark from their school assessment result,” she says.
“We commend them for diligence and continual desire to improve.”
“Of particular note:
- Band 6’s in Mathematics General 2 by two students – Distinguished Achievers: Tara Barrington and Myles Egan;
- Above State Average in Dance, Mathematics, General 2, Music 1, Primary Industries;
- All students in Dance and Music 1 achieved Band 5’s;
- Band 5’s in Biology, Business Studies, Dance, English Advanced, English Extension 1, Geography, Mathematics General 2, Modern History, Music 1, PDHPE, Primary Industries, Studies of Religion II, Visual Arts;
- 16% of Examinations sat results in Bands 5 to 6;
- 60% of Examinations sat resulted in Bands 4 to 6
“ We now look forward to the release of the ATAR results”.
The graduates also presented their farewell gift to the school – “a spectacular trailer barbecue”.
Year 12 coordinator, Sarah Purnell, says we are so proud of Year 12 fundraising almost $6000 with pizza, krispy kreme’s, mufti days and the primary disco.
“They were also successful in receiving a $2000 donation from Glencore which enabled them to purchase the spectacular trailer barbecue we now have created by Rutherford Trailers & Towbars.”
She would also like to give a special mention to Campbell Nunn for his commitment and ensuring the Year 12 vision came to life.
