With his safe hands and sharp reflexes talented 10-year-old Keanu Botha has proved he is a valuable member of the U12’s Hunter Valley Representative side.

The Singleton junior has been impressive in the field; taking six catches and instigating a run out during the annual carnival at Lismore this week.

After taking three catches, one of which was a match winner, against Hawkesbury.

After taking three catches, one of which was a match winner, against Hawkesbury.

In fact during one game he took three catches, including a match-winner, and for his efforts the man-of-the-match recipient awarded his medallion to Botha.

Adding to this experience was the thrill of winning five consecutive games to make it to the decider.

Today, the team’s undefeated run sees them up against defending champions, North Shore.

His proud mum, Lena, says they are “super proud” of his performance and pleasantly surprised.

They boys are currently chasing North Shores first innings total of 158 runs.
