U16’s pull off emphatic win during final round of Hunter Valley Junior Cricket Council Competition

Despite the conditions varying from pleasant to sweltering and then blustery, all our junior representative teams gave their all in Round 4 of the Hunter Valley Junior Cricket Council (HVJCC) competition on Sunday.

With the U16’s pulling off an emphatic win against Maitland thanks to a skillful all-round batting display (9/226), including a spectacular half century from Mick Taylor (55).

Next best with the bat was Alexander Holz with 42 (no), Tristan Pitcher (27), Andrew Knox (26), Tom Druery (25), Kye Dann (11).

While Jackson Shade did the damage with ball - his 4/15 off 9 overs was impressive.

Both Sam Harrison (2/11) and Tom Druery (2/23) took two wickets each.

Maitland were all out for 106.

The U12’s game went down to the wire with Maitland getting away with the win in the dying overs.

U16's Mick Taylor notched up an impressive half century (55) smashing successive 4's and a few 6's.
