He will appear before Singleton Local Court on March 15 after police allegedly found what may be a stolen rifle, shortened shotgun, cannabis, and a cannabis plant, at the premises.
Detectives attached to the Hunter Valley Target Action Group executed the search warrant at the Wollombi Road address at about 11.30am on Tuesday, allegedly finding some cannabis and a rifle in a rear room.
Then, when they went outside into the backyard, a shortened shotgun and a cannabis plant was discovered.
Consequently, the man was charged for drug and firearm related offences with exhibits seized and secured.
Inquiries in relation to the rifle indicate it was allegedly stolen in 2014.
The man has been charged with cultivating a prohibited plant, possessing a prohibited drug, and firearms offences.
