When she put forward a motion to extend the time frame for notifications and exhibitions over the December and January period.

Seconded by Cr Hollee Jenkins, the motion was unanimously passed and will see an extra five working days added to the minimum 14-day period to ensure transparency.

Cr Lukeman said some community members had expressed their concerns about insufficient notification periods over this busy time of year due to the public holidays.

“We don’t want to look like we are trying to hide something by exhibiting over the Christmas/New Year period,” she explained.
