THE mother of a Singleton toddler whose death has been the subject of a coroner’s inquest has begged for help to end the 13-year investigation.

“I just want to get the truth, I want justice for my son,” Bernice Swales said on Thursday.
The coroner is expected to hand down findings in May after an inquest in Sydney heard closing submissions last month.
The State Crime Command is again pushing the outstanding $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction over the death of the 21-month-old boy.
Jordan died in 2005 while Ms Swales was out shopping. He was in the care of her then-boyfriend, Cecil Kennedy. When Ms Swales returned home, she found Mr Kennedy performing CPR on Jordan, who Mr Kennedy says had been found face-down in a bath.
The inquest heard Jordan had most likely died from a lethal dose of anti-depressant medication.
Three weeks after the death, a police search at Mr Kennedy's home found a packet of Amitriptylin on top of his wardrobe. Mr Kennedy has always maintained his innocence.
Ms Swales and police hoped the $100,000 reward, announced in 2015, would bring a close to the case.
But almost three years later, there has been no breakthrough.
“I just want to remember all the good memories about my son and not have that flooded with constantly having to go back to the worst day of my life,” Ms Swales said.
“I don’t want to keep remembering that, it’s very hard. It’s horrible to have to keep going back and thinking.
“I’m not getting answers.”
Remembering Jordan, Ms Swales said he was an affectionate boy, always wanting to be close to his mother.
“He was very close to me,” she said. “Always wanting to be on my lap, always tugging on my leg if I was standing there talking to someone or if I was in the kitchen. He would just come up to me and hold my leg.
“He was very happy and just loved to play.”
