Ourcare Services Ltd capped a fantastic year by taking out the Singleton Outstanding Business Award for 2018 at a gala event held at Singleton Civic Centre on May 4.

The community-based service organisation first took out the Business Excellence Award for companies with more than 20 employees before being name overall winner, capping a very productive 12 months for staff and volunteers.
“We have had a great year with the opening of the Maitland office and winning a million dollar state project. This just topped it off – fantastic,” Ourcare Services CEO Lesleigh Adie said.
“When we took out the Business Excellence Award earlier in the night we were over the moon and didn’t even think we stood a chance at the Most Outstanding as there were an enormous amount of fantastic business operators in the room that night.”

Ourcare Services is a not-for-profit company based in Singleton providing a wide range of services across the Hunter Valley including Commonwealth Home Support Services, National Disability Insurance Scheme services and Home Care Packages.
“Awards like these support us in knowing we are meeting people’s needs in the community and that we are a supplying the right services to our customers,” Lesleigh said.
“Winning any award will always give you great grounds in supporting funding applications and business growth.
“During the week many members of the community have congratulated us either in person, via our social media page or email.

Lesleigh said the Singleton Outstanding Business Awards are an important platform to showcase local expertise and talents and encouraged all businesses to get involved.
“The entry process makes you take a look at what you actually have done over the past few years and see if are you on target for the next,” Lesleigh said.
“The awards also makes you look at all aspects of your business, workforce, business growth, measurable outcomes of your strategies to achieve growth, IT and other items.
“It’s well worth it, particularly when the awards are announced and your business is one of the winners.”
Ourcare Services, along with other winners on the night, now progress to the regional awards in Newcastle on Friday, August 10.
