In a very tight finish it was Paul Burke who came out on top. Paul’s total of 143 (73, 70) bettered that of Steve Corrigan (72, 72) and Col Curnow (67, 77) by just one stroke.
A nett score of 67 from Andrew Bonarius was the winning score in A grade.
His win was by way of a count back from Club Champion Nathan Bagnall. Bagnall’s scratch score of 69 was exceptional.
Another count back was required to separate the first and second placings in B grade. Peter Boland was eventually given the nod in front of the Cup winner Burke. Both players had a score of 70.
One of the Club’s former juniors from years ago has returned to the Club. C grader Jake Lawlor fired the day’s best score; a nett 66 to defeat Kurt Afflick by three strokes to win his grade.
The weekly secret 9 event was won by Kerry Baxter with a nett 33. The next three winners were Lawlor (33c/b), Ian Collins (33), and Ben Isaac (34c/b).
