Over the weekend thieves have broken into a Hunterview home, stealing various items including the hard drive to the security camera.
Two chainsaws, two MIG welders, a Engel fridge/freezer, a generator, a poly welder and a laptop are also missing.
It is alleged unknown persons have gained entry to the Acacia Circuit residence through a ground floor front window.
Police say the flyscreen was removed and an air conditioning unit was pushed through the window into the house.
There were signs of disturbance in the lounge/dining area and a bedroom.
Mid Range PCA – Singleton Heights
A 56-year-old Lansvale man is to appear at the Singleton Local Court on June 14 after attempting to evade a Police on Friday morning.
At 11.20 pm he attempted to avoid a stationary random breath testing operation which was set up approximately 200 meters east of the New England Highway and White Avenue intersection.
The man was seen to brake heavily as he reached the intersection and pulled off to the side of the road where he parked his vehicle where unattended cars are left for sale.
Police approached the accused and saw him exit the drivers seat of the vehicle. There were no one else in the car.
The man was asked to produce his license and was submitted to a roadside breath test that returned a positive reading.
He was formally arrested and cautioned and then, conveyed to Singleton Police Station where he was entered in to custody.
A short time later the man was submitted to a further breath analysis and returned a reading of 0.118 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.
