The students are also holding a sleep out on Friday, June 29. The school was successful in raising over $2000 for the Winter Appeal in 2017. Students and teachers will spend the night sleeping on the ground to experience homelessness with the school P&F supplying soup, rice and bread and the SRC involved in organising the event with everyone looking forward to the night. The student leaders agree it will be lots of fun. Leaders Molly Burden and Samuel O’Brien are keen for the experience.
“It will give us an insight into what homeless people go through,” says Molly. With Sam adding that the night will be “a firsthand experience.”
Students will be treated to a movie and games. The money raised from sponsorship and donations will go directly to St Vincent De Paul.
