The scheduled Stableford Countdown was not played due to over 25 of our regular players being away playing in the Gloucester Open.
Blustery winds blew for most of the day making scoring difficult.
A grader Murray Considine had no problems with the breeze shooting a fine round of one over par 70 for a 39 point score line. Muz was three under at the turn but let it slip on the homeward journey.
Allan Holz was announced as the runner up. Al’s score was a surprising 6 points behind the winner.
Dave Palmer took out B grade with a consistent round of 37 points while super junior Owen Evans came in second with an even round of 36 points.
Gary Flanagan was another player who put on a fine showing. Gary won C grade with 37 points from The Educator Michael Daley.
The Secret 9 event was won by Geoff Payne with 22 points. The next three to follow were Michael Daley (20c/b), Max Stone (20c/b), and Robert Downes (20).
A reminder to members that the annual Scramble event is on September 23.
All entries this year are online via the Scramble web site. See Les in the Pro Shop for more information.
