Tax Time - free advice available at the Senior Citizens each Tuesday morning

If you earn under $60,000 a year then you are able to attend Tax Time at Singleton’s Senior Citizens.

Held every Tuesday morning at their centre in Bathurst Street the service is free.

Two volunteer accountants Jim Papworth and Wally Flaks, who have been providing this service for a number of years, will be on hand each week to provide free advice on tax matters.

The pair are credited by the Australian Tax Commission, are offering free tax assistance to people of all ages. The team normally complete 12 tax returns in a day, refunds are generally received within two weeks.

They are available from 9:00-12:00 each Tuesday and anyone interested in seeking their assistance is asked to come during that time and book an appointment.

At the appointment you will need to have a MyGov account, tax file number and bank details.
