Congratulations to all teams that participated in the winter competition this year. A special thanks goes to all of the volunteers who give up their time for Netball games to go ahead.
Results are as follows:
- Div 1 – Hype 46 d Blisters 39 – MVP Ashlee Urpeth (Hype);
- Div 2 – Persas Vixens 51 d Valley Wide Vipers 37 – MVP Daneie Geddes (Vipers);
- Div 3 – Fireworks 38 d Hygienies 27 – MVP Lilly McNamara (Hygienies);
- Div 4 – M&M’s 27 d Fit Bitz 26 – MVP Marley Stuart (M&M’s);
- Div 5 – Explosive Chicks 31 d HVG Unbreakables 11 – MVP Chloe Jones (Unbreakables);

At the presentation club awards were presented as well as trophies for winners and runners-up:
- Honoree Member: Stephen Koosmen – he has been a part of our association for many years as his wife, Kerri, is the Club President. He is always on hand for club maintenance issues and improvements;
- Margo & Mary Robinson club person of the year: Lyn Urpeth who is the canteen co-ordinator. She makes sure we never run out of lollies and is always around to assist teams with their canteen duties. Lyn was also the caterer for State Age&State Champs this year, as well as the Opens team manager.
- Peggy Moore junior club person of the year: Lucie Merrick – she obtained her National C badge in Umpiring, coached a local team as well as fulfilling her representative duties. Lucie has a great passion for netball and is always willing to help out;
- Janice Gardiner team encouragement award: Bluebelles;
- Team sportsmanship award: Bower Power;
- Individual sportsmanship award: Olivia Elgar;
- Junior umpire of the year: Matilda Magyar;
- Senior umpire of the year: Tracey Noble;
- Junior coach: Hallee Tanzer;
- Senior coach: Kylie Ford.
This year we will also be running a FAST5 competition on Tuesday evenings. The popular NetSetGo clinic will return on Monday evenings. Interested coaches are asked to contact us to assist with the running of this program.
Coach and manager applications for the 2019 rep season are now open. Expressions of Interest are also being taken for 2019 representative teams, with a coaching clinic to take place on November 3.
