And, you won’t get any argument from his Australian hitting partner Brendan Moore either.
“Roger’s the best I’ve seen,” he said during a visit to Singleton’s Howe Park Tennis Club on Sunday.
“He’s the complete all-round player.”
Moore, who was joined by Novak Djokovic’s hitting partner Kyle Stoker and young gun Connor Johnson at the Hunter Tennis Academy-hosted The Singleton Long Lunch at the weekend, is set to renew his affiliation with the Swiss maestro in the next couple of months.
After proving his dominance on court with 20 Grand Slam victories and 97 ATP crowns in an illustrious career, Federer’s eyeing off at least one more Australian Open winner’s prize purse in January.
That would give him a total of 21.
He already has a record eight Wimbledon, six Australian Open and five consecutive US Open titles, as well as a solitary French Open.
“I’m getting ready for a busy period – from December to February,” Moore admitted.
“Not only do I hit with Roger, there’s also Rafael Nadal, Grigor Dimitrov and Milos Raonic who call on me.
“All of them are great; they treat you like an equal.
“They’re really humble, lovely guys.
“I don’t have a bad word to say about any of them.
“As for Roger, what you see, is what you get – he’s all class.”
Moore, who faced Stoker and Johnson in a couple of exhibition matches at Howe Park, is no stranger to Singleton.
“Can you believe it, I visited 15 years ago as a junior?” he said.
“But, it’s terrific to be back.
“At least on this occasion, I have a bit of time to meet people.
“Full credit to the Hunter Tennis Academy – and Gary Brenton, Sonia Close and Justin James – for putting this together.”
Seventeen-year-old Johnson, who is ranked seventh in the nation, also impressed many of the enthusiasts in attendance.
He even claimed the scalps of both Moore and Stoker in the shortened version of the game.
“It’s my first time at Singleton, however I’m enjoying myself,” the youngster said.
“It has been a good experience for me [here today].
“My goal is to qualify for the Australian Junior Open in January.”
