A MAN has died in a suspected hit and run near Singleton.

About 5.35am on Saturday, September 29, emergency services were called to Carrington Street, Glenridding, after a male aged in his 40s was located dead on the side of the road.
Inquiries suggest he had been struck and killed by a car some time between 4am and 5.30am.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Police are also seeking information in relation to a silver hatchback, which was seen to pull up alongside the man’s body about 5.30am.
A female driver was seen to get out of the vehicle and check on the man before driving away again.
A crime scene remains in place at the location and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit will attend to conduct a forensic examination.
