Neither team succumbed to its rival, unlike the national squad which was dismissed twice within four days, with JPC finishing at 8-154 and Denman fighting its way to 9-115.
Gregg Dann led the way for the Singleton club with a brilliant 88.
He was well-supported by Sam Harrison (11).
Shaun Wilkins grabbed 3-22 with the ball, while Mitch Coombes snared 2-22.
For Denman, captain John Apps remained unbeaten on 46, with Steve Andrews chipping in with 24.
Dann backed up his excellent batting feats, with 3-14, and Nathan Kearney contributed with 3-24.
