The event, featuring the 100 targets double barrel, 50 targets pointscore and 50 targets single barrel disciplines, was hailed a great success, with more than 40 competitors in attendance.
“A warm cloudy day with a southerly made tough conditions for shooting,” Singleton Clay Target Club secretary/treasurer Denis Pearce said.
“However, the standard was exceptionally high.”
Results were:
100 Targets Double Barrel –
AA grade: 1st David White 109/110, 2nd Cesar Diaz 108/110
A grade: 1st Mick Cook 97/100, 2nd Tony Mitchell 103/108
B grade: 1st Paul Thompson 93/100, 2nd Greg Collins 93/103
C grade: 1st Ken Bartley 90/100, 2nd Taijh Bridge 86/100
All winners received nice sashes and cash prizes for placegetters.
Sunday dawned with cloudy skies and a variable southerly breeze, which made the day tricky for shooting.

“At the presentations all winners received nice sashes and placegetters prizes,” Pearce said.
“Everyone agreed the weekend had been a great shoot.
“A special note of thanks go to Anne and Shelley in the kitchen who kept the good food coming, to Jack, Lionel and Will in the office.”
The next shoot will take place on Sunday, November 11, the 100 Targets SSAA 5 Stand.
