The Big Yellow Bus will be heading to Singleton each Thursday morning during school term to provide the setting for a new playground.

Located at Singleton’s Youth Venue at the corner of Bathurst and Pitt streets the playgroup is free and open to all children from 0-6 years. It will run from 10:00am to 12:00pm and participants are asked to bring along morning tea, drink bottle and a hat. Run by Early Links Inclusion Support Services the centre piece of the mornings activities is a converted big yellow bus which children can climb in and slide out of and swing through. The playgroup provides a meeting place for families to connect with each other, talk to professionals and learn strategies to support their children learn through play and other activities at home.
Early childhood teacher, Aeron Gould, who was on hand last week at the launch of the service, said teachers and therapists would be available each week to talk to and assist parents and carers.
“We can provide an early intervention service if required and assist with information about and access to the National Disability Insurance Scheme,” she said. “Everyone is welcome to enjoy the service.”
