These weren’t exactly the words US president Donald Trump used in his prime time address this afternoon nevertheless the catchphrase does associate with the leader of the free world.
This is rather the title of an American themed cabaret show, written and directed by local talent Andrew Wu, to be performed at the Singleton Youth Venue this Saturday at 7pm.
“As the name suggests, it’s a tongue-in-cheek parody of Donald Trump,” Wu revealed.
Wu will reunite with local actor Jonathan Vickers after the two starred in the 2014 Singleton Theatrical Society (SATS) production of ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’ as the lead characters.
Muswellbrook actress Sarah Elliott will also be one to watch alongside the talented Dr. Katrina Grabham on the piano.
Nevertheless it is the original story which will attract the audience ranging from political fanatics to genuine musical enthusiasts.
“The premise is that the Republican party has created a propaganda musical to promote Trump ahead of the 2020 election,” Wu added.
“It’s an original story but told through well-known songs from screen and stage.”
“There will be songs from Les Miserables, Wicked, The Greatest Showman, Hamilton as well as various Disney musicals.”

Andrew Wu
Andrew Wu commenced his theatre career with Singleton Theatrical Society (SATS) in 2013. He has since performed in the SATS productions of ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’, ‘The Pirates of Penzance’, ‘Godspell’ and ‘Seussical’. Wu has since studied a Diploma of Musical Theatre and has created his own entertainment business ‘Wu-hoo! Entertainment’.
Jonathan Vickers
Jonathan Vickers is considered a stalwart of the local theatre group. His more prominent roles were in ‘The Wizard of Oz’, ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’ and ‘Guys and Dolls’ in recent years.
Sarah Elliott
Sarah Elliott is a rising stage talent from Muswellbrook. She has appeared in ‘Annie’, ‘Song Contest’ and ‘Aspire’ (the Catholic Schools showcase).
Dr. Katrina Grabham
Katrina Grabham’s passion is music education for children as the business owner of ‘The Music Brian’. Nevertheless the talented pianist has accompanied many productions since studying a Bachelor of Music and PhD of Philosophy at the University of Newcastle.
