That claim was taken by Team Brazil who conquered the 2019 WinStar World Casino and Resort PBR Global Cup USA before thousands at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
However the eventful two day showcase proved to be another addition to Heffernan’s long list of achievements less than a month after claiming yet another ABCRA national title.
“We had a big effort the second day, we are proud of the effort we put out and we left everything out there in the arena,” Heffernan told the Singleton Argus from his Arlington accommodation on Sunday.
“We (Australia) had a really good second day where we rode four bulls consecutively including myself with an 86.5 score.”
“Overall it’s a great event with the first one held in Canada (and USA won it) and then it went to Sydney and now here with Brazil winning both.”
Brazilian coach Renato Nunes, who previously hoisted the Australian horn from the glittering Global Cup trophy in Sydney in June 2018, once again claimed another nation’s soil, taking Team USA’s dirt on Sunday.
Team Brazil collectively went 11-for-18 to amass 939.25 points while Team Australia, coached by 1998 world champion Troy Dunn, finished fourth overall ahead of North American nations Team Mexico and Team Canada.
Following Team Brazil’s on-dirt celebration, PBR CEO Sean Gleason announced that the Global Cup would return to AT&T Stadium in 2020.
Both the 2019 WinStar World Casino and Resort PBR Global Cup USA was presented by Monster Energy.
