Melanie Dagg stood tall with confidence when early-voting opened at the Singleton Plaza this morning.

The Country Labor candidate for the Upper Hunter was joined by the Federal Member for Hunter Joel Fitzgibbon this morning as the region's pre-pollers cast their votes from 8am.

She was not the only candidate present as Richard Stretton (Christian Democrats) was also on hand to greet his loyal Singleton-based voters.

However it would the Labor candidate who would attract the support of the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association with officials Janine Morfitt (Secretary for Singleton) and Julie Ljubovic (NSW organiser) on hand to support the Labor hopeful.
