Just over 12 months ago the hall was badly damaged in a storm which removed its roof and damaged the front walls.
Insurance covered most of those repairs but much more work has been undertaken by the Hall Committee to spruce up their popular community facility and meeting place.
Locals Charlotte and Mark McGrath, who have established the Tamaruke dog breed which is non-shedding and hypoallergenic, donated $7300 towards the hall's renovations.
"This was a wonderful donation to assist us in our work at the hall," said Glendon Hall Committee, secretary Kath Floyd.
"'We can't thank Charlotte and Mark enough for their generosity."
The Committee was also successful in obtaining a NSW Government Stronger Communities Grant of $7000 to replace heritage windows at the front of the Hall.
The local community then raised extra funds to reclad the entire front of the hall, said Mrs Floyd.
The land for the hall was donated by David Pollock Shearer in 1910 and the the building dates from that period and like so many of our rural halls requires constant maintenance and repairs.
Weatherboard and iron halls are the lifeblood on many rural communities and are used for a variety of events including mobile pre-schools but the cost of their upkeep is daunting.
The hall is currently being painted by Troy Hall, a new floor is being placed in one of the hall's rooms and there are plans for a kitchen upgrade.
With the aged kitchen facilities Mrs Floyd said the plans were to make them semi-commercial which would be a great improvement on whats currently in use.
"It has been a big 12 months for the hall with all the repairs and renovations," said Mrs Floyd.
"And the hall remains a popular venue for weddings and engagement parties and we have our regular trivia nights."
The Committee is organising a 'stomp' night so the 2000 plus nails can be punched in before the new floor is sanded.
On election day Saturday, March 23 the hall is not only a voting place but the Committee will be holding a bbq and cake stall to raise funds.
