Sitting member The Nationals Michael Johnsen has suffered a swing of just under 1 per cent and received 33.72 of formal votes in second place is Country Labor's Melanie Dagg with 29.72 and next is Lee Watts, Shooters, Fishers and Farmers with 22.90.
Mr Johnsen said he would not declare he was won the seat until Labor concedes.
But those close to Ms Dagg's campaign say at this stage it is too close and this morning with pre-poll votes being counted it was getting tighter.
It could come down to a couple of hundred votes either way.
Ms Dagg has become the first Labor candidate to have an impact in Gloucester, winning after to party preferences, the Gloucester High School booth.
