"We successfully gained a '2018 Volunteers Grant' for $4493 which will allow us to purchase some items to make our volunteers life a little easier," Mr Andrews told the Singleton Argus.
This wish list includes gardening/lawncare equipment, new cleaning equipment, a new BBQ for fundraising and some new canteen/kitchen appliances.
The Federal Member was delighted to receive a tour of the gym and boxing facilities.
He fittingly shared some of his ringside tales only one day after the May 18 date was set for this year's federal election.
"We have just come out here to help out where we can," Mr Fitzgibbon explained.
